Promoting Public Trust in Colorado's Courts: Breakfast With Justice Monica Márquez
Opinion surveys show that Americans are less and less confident in social institutions across the board, from the government and media to organized religion and big business. While erosion of trust in the courts has focused mostly on the U.S. Supreme Court, trust in state court systems has eroded, too. And Colorado is no exception.
Fortunately, the Colorado Supreme Court is acting decisively and deliberately, leading efforts to promote more public trust in Colorado’s courts.
Join us and our speaker, Justice Monica Márquez, as she describes the results of her colleagues’ statewide listening tour, highlights of the judicial branch’s improvements to workplace culture, and initiatives underway to ensure access to justice for all Coloradans. Also learn about Justice Márquez’s own family roots in Grand Junction!
